EQA is a certification body in Management Systems in different regulations, we offer a wide range of Audit and Certification services in the areas of Quality, Environment, Safety and Occupational Health at Work, Information Security, Food Safety, Aerospace Quality and Social Responsibility.

What is the certification?

It is a voluntary initiative. Any organization can request the certification of its industrial products or services. Certification is a procedure by which a third party, the certifying body (EQA Certification) issues a written guarantee that an organizational system, a process, a person, a product, or a service conforms to the requirements specified in a standard.

Is getting certified relevant for a small business with fewer than fifty employees?

Yes. ISO standards are relevant for small companies as well as for large multinational organizations. Regardless of the size of the business, obtaining a certification will allow to drive improvement and increase customer satisfaction, as well as being a differentiator from the competition.

What bodies accredit EQA?

In 2013, EQA achieved the most important accreditation worldwide; ANAB of the United States (ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board) which evaluates and accredits Certification Bodies that demonstrate competence to audit Organizations that comply with Management Systems Standards.

How long can it take to document, implement, and get certified?

The time for the certification of the system varies depending on the size of the organization and the complexity of its production processes or service provision. The minimum estimated time, under normal conditions, for an SME is 4 to 6 months, which may be less depending on the dedication of the organization’s resources.

How long is the certificate valid for?

Once granted, the certification is valid for three years, after this period a renewal audit and the issuance of a new certificate are necessary. Annually the certification body must conduct follow-up audits to ensure compliance with the requirements of the standard.
